Thursday evenings we are working with our Divemaster students so the lake will be open to all.
and EVERY DAY.
Opening - 10.00am last dive 4.00pm - Thursdays close at 9pm
£10 per day (membership registration is £5 which lasts for 2 years)
Non members £15 per visit
Thursdays late evening by request (min 6 divers)
Temperature as of 24th June -
18 - 20 (suface) 14 (bottom) degrees C with visiblity of 1 to 5 metres (we've started pumping again so should improve soon)
From 1st November 2008 Jeanette will be making food available at the weekends so there will be a small charge for teas and coffees.
The schedule of improvement is to -
- Reduce Bank erosion by protecting the banks - 80% complete
- Remove the silt - ongoing ... and examine the possiblity of increasing the depth from the existing 14.5 meters to 22 meters - long term project
- construct a major filtration system - filtration trenches in use
- WANTED - fresh water Mussels and Oysters to aid filtration ... if anyone can help please let me know.
- establish a formal training area with 3 meter and 6 meter platforms - completed
- introduce new underwater attractions - ongoing ... the Puma is in position on top of a container.

Saturday 16th Feb 08 ... "The Pipe", with the help of Dave and Geoff, was repaired and put back in situ ... looking great !
approx 5` 6" in dia and very long ... makes a great swim through.
Although really good at the moment, our primary objective is to improve the visibility.
